To this, One does not laugh or find funny. He actually remembered asking Gale what use would the girl be, and he said she'd make a good pawn. He is about to answer but something catches his eyes. He turns back to Ayn and the others, but he sees someone else. "What the . . ?" He steps out of the car.

Legion rolls his eyes. "I'm afraid unless your moves are as sharp as your glimmering wit, you're already lost."

It's Ayn's turn to laugh. "So it's a rumble you want? Fine by me, although we both know the consequences you'll have to face should you harm me."

One runs in between the two. "You're gonna fight when we have more pressing matters to attend to?!"

"One is right." Rikali's eyes glitter in the dark. "You two may fight on opposite sides, but right now sides must be forgotten. There will be no world to have sides on if we don't hurry." "And we have to go fast...before Rose falls under Gale's influence any further."
Riki holds Vengeance, but does not seem inclined to battle. |

Legion giggles. "The dragon acts like she's being selfless. You care more about your little girl than saving the world or whatever it is you're trying to do. I can't say I care much about the Abbis or his plan." He looks at One. "I don't care about you. There's no reason to stay, just move along."
Hallon looks grim. "He must be the one I sensed...." |

"One, get out of the way. I'll take care of it." She steps forward, her palms glowing ever stronger with the white energy.

One ignores Ayn, and looks at Legion. "Were you the one that stopped our car?"

"Wow, aren't you at the top of class." Legion's right arm extends and becomes large blade. It slashes at Rikali while Legion keeps his eye on One and Ayn.

She moves forward, and steps around One. "If you're not going to fight, you'll only get hurt!" The pure energy transfers to her sword, scattering white sparks all over the ground.

Rikali dodges it and snarls at Legion. "What is it you want, anyway?"

"Nothing of yours, lizard." He turns to Ayn and grins. "What spunk. Unfortunately, you're outmatched."

Ayn snarls, then moves closer to Legion, now wanting a battle. Before it had just been so they could get on to Capital, but now she was itching to fight. Besides, it's not like Legion was in any position to harm her.

"Outmatched?" A polished katana rises up and around Legion's shoulder and presses up against his neck. "Are you sure?"

Legion smiles. "You think you outnumber us as well?" He looks at Fury. "Try it, I dare you."

"Shut up." The blade flickers with electricity for a moment and Fury holds it closer to Legion's throat. "I could send you straight into the center of a dead star right now."

Ayn is now standing a few yars from Legion, her sword nearly bursting with white energy. Her look is no longer one of amusement or annoyance, instead replaced with a deadly gleam in her eyes.

"What did you say?!" Fury's eyes grow wide in rage and his face twitches as he clenches his jaw. He shifts in the darkness and moves something slung over his other shoulder with his free hand, though it can't be made out. Something makes a double click behind Legion's back.
It becomes quite clear as time slows down after the first deafening blast. A small geyser of red mist explodes out from Legion's chest, followed by another, and another, and another, for what seems like forever. The darkness flashes for a good four seconds with the strobing light of the assault rifle's bursts of flame licking into Legion's back, until the magazine goes empty. Thirty smoking holes are left scattered all over the archdemon's chest. |

Legion shrieks in pain (think Ridley from Metroid) and thrashes. After a moment he recovers and snarls. His arm becomes a large blade and he attempts to rip Fury in half.

Wes was, quite frankly, glad that someone hit the beast. All the talk and drama seemed like an awfully childish waste of time at the moment, but he didn't want to make the first move as this new character seemed to be an aquaintance of Ayn's. But now the first move was made, and Wes would make the second one.
From down the road with his headlight turned off, Wes throws his Tandem into low gear and rapidly accelerates toward the gathering of friends and foes. The Tandems engines hum but are hardly noticeable for someone otherwise engaged.. like Legion. Moving at extreme speed on a collision course with the engraged demon, Wessen flicks on his headlight to get his attention right before he reaches him. |

Legion notices Wes coming toward him and barely manages to get out of his way before he's run over by the bike. He throws a knife towards the bike before facing Fury and slashes at him with his claw.

The serious expression on Ayn's face dissipates, and she watches with amusement as Legion defends himself. She'd wait until the right moment to catch him off guard and send a blast of holy energy at him.

With a quick hop backwards, Fury avoids being gutted by the first blow but still gets slashed across the stomach, a wound that immediately weeps blood and forces him to double over in pain and wrap his left arm around the cut. He looks back up in time to sidestep around Legion as he slashes and takes the opportunity to launch a swing with Ranna at the demon's back, all the while still clutching his stomach.

Legion snarls upon recieving Fury's blow and lauches himself into the air. He throws knives at the group and falls into the cover of the trees.

Ayn casually steps out of the way of a falling knife, then peers into the forest. "Huh.... He'll be back.. He always comes back." She said this last comment with a hint of annoyance.

Gale snarls. "Get off of me and maybe we'll talk."
__ There suddenly a light in the forest before an eruptions of energy. Legion levitates off the ground as black orbs, the demons he's merged with, orbit around him. Legion, or Lock as the case may be, smiled. "You have no idea what I'm capable off, mortals." |

((Heh, Gale. My Tandem doesn't have wheels. It's like a swoop. It can even fly up high for limited amounts of time.))
Wes causes the Tandem to spin on a dime and draws his pistol for another pass at Legion, but as he turns he sees Legion withdraw into the woods, throwing knives at some of the others. What a little child. He might as well pull Ayn's hair. Wessen grabs the rifle stowed at the side of his Tandem and looks through the scope and scans the woods for a moment. He sees nothing. Just then, Legion emerges. As such, Wes is more than happy to open fire. |

Two of the black orbs move infront of Lock to absorb the blows, while he stands proudly. "Would you like to see our true form?" __ Gale crosses his arms. "I was requested to." |

"Requested to follow... me? Who would as you to...? He? No. NO!"
*The creature screams at Gale and zombified hands grasp at his feet from the ground* "You brought him here? YOU brought him here? Curse you!" *Creatures in various amounts of decay approach Gale from the shadowy fog, more than four pairs of hands are grasping him from below. A beastly and catlike creature curses at him constantly. Gale is only a few seconds from breaking from their grasp and smiting the foul beast* "I shall slay you and feast on you like so many weights of dogmeat! And the white one too! Send your croonie little moogle-kin? Want to test my strength with a little treat? I shall devour him and then scour your body of its flesh! Gwah! Oh, and this one shall pay dear---" *Two daggers erupt from under the Werewolf-Fox's collarbone; one glowing a sorrowful white and the other a chilling, lightless black.* "Tonight you feast upon your own blood" - *As the blades are brought up and out, through flesh and bone, this same blood is sent pouring out onto Gale just as he breaks free* |

Ayn stares at the demonic spectacle before her with a hint of shock, then she shakes her head. She moves forward quickly, putting her palms together to amplify her attack, and fires holy energy at the larger demon.

Wes fires a few more shots which are also blocked by Lock's demons. You're hard enough to look at already. Wes reaches for a grenade within his jacket. |

Gale looks at Kadino. He appreciated his assitance, but was also surpised by it. He was beginning to wonder what he had gotten himself into and took a stance with Sin.
__ Lock laughed as the orbs grew single, red eyes that fired beams at the holy blast all at once. After a few moments, the blast is deflected. Lock waves his hand backwards and the orbs return to him. Soon he is covered in a black goo of all the combined demons, reforming into Legion in an alternate form. "You'd think we'd be foolish enough to face Gaia if your power was greater then our own? I've had over thousands of years sense I met you to assimulate demons into myself. Due to Fury's sword it's been more like months for you and your allies. Thus we've had plenty of time to prepare and surpass you." Lock is consumed by the other demons and the mass begins to grow and mold into a new form. |

Ayn swallows, but whatever discomfort she felt from the large amount of demons, she disregarded it quickly. "Ah, I see. You built up your defenses because you were afraid of a measly little human.. Afraid that a subspecies might whoop your ass." She laughs.

Wes presses a button on the grenade, a somewhat more high-tech device than the one he used on the serpant before. He lobs it at Legion and it exploads into a globe of clear energy and heat which simply distorts the image of the matter it surrounds.. in case, Legion. The distortion fills with light and begins to close in on itself, strangling Legion with energy before it implodes on him. ((Don't mind me hitting Legion. I know he's a tough guy and can handle it. :-p)) |

There's a large flash of light and the demon orbs scatter and crash into the surrouding enviroment, leaving violent explosions in their wake. Lock is tossed back, but many of the remaining demons fly into him as the rest recover from the explosion. "How dare you strike us!" After a few moments, the demons form back into Legion. "I overlooked the possibility of you having allies. However, that won't save you." Legion crosses his arms. "Unlike you foolish humans, I am not blinded by such arrogance. Human or not, you're the prophecised(sp?) Gaia. We've been waiting for you, and prepared."
